In accordance with the practices of the legal profession, the prior payment of a service to be claimed on the fees and costs is generally required. The provision would be deducted from the total amount of the last fee note issued.<br \/>\n\u2022 Once the firm is in charge of a file, the fees should be payable &#8211; even if the file is withdrawn before its conclusion &#8211; insofar as legal work has been started.<\/li>\n<li>The various fees and expenses related to the case are billed to the client and are not to be confused with the firm legal fees.
